3-month interim contract initially
West Yorkshire
Up to £42/hr
Inside IR35 (via FCSA Accredited Umbrella)
Full Time Hybrid 3 days on site, 2 from home

An exciting new interim opportunity has arisen within a Local Authority in the North of England for a Practice Supervisor - Care Leavers. You will report to the Service Manager for Care Leavers and the key focus of this role will be managing a team of professional Social Workers and Community Resource Workers who work within the Care Leavers sector.
 
About your duties as the Practice Supervisor (Care Leavers), Children’s Social Care: 

Arranging and managing Multi Agency planning meetings for children and young people.
Delivering well co-ordinated plans which respond directly to identified needs or risks.
Managing and allocating staff resources using allocation systems, ensuring that all cases have full, outcome focused care plans which are regularly reviewed.
Monitoring team performance, ensuring that professional development is taking place.
Ensuring all statutory requirements with regards to social work practice are met 
 
Your experience needed as the Practice Supervisor (Care Leavers), Children’s Social Care: 

Previous experience working/managing specifically within the Care Leavers sector.
Must be a qualified Social Worker
SW, CQSW, BA (Hons) in Social Work or equivalent professional qualifications
Experience in understanding and applying laws relating to Children’s Services
