This advert is for a Social Worker to work within the Children in Care Service with Durham Local Authority. We are based in Pity Me, next to the Arnison Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for a caseload of up 26 young people aged between 0 and 18 years old. The candidate will need to comply with the statutory guidance of supporting looked after children including visiting the children, holding care team meetings, attending Child in Care review meetings and PEP meetings etc. The candidate will be responsible for updating the young people's assessments and ensuring care plans are updated and progressed to seek permanence for our children. We offer a hybrid working system where the successful candidate is expected to be in the office two days a week and can then chose to work from home the other three days. Majority of meetings are held via TEAMS including PEP's and Child in Care Review meetings.
