In Global Business Services, we support BASF's divisions with a cross-functional network and offer modern solutions tailored to the needs of the business. As a specialized service unit we ensure a high level of customer orientation and we design our services to be cooperative, efficient and future-oriented.

Within our Domestic Deliveries Unit, we are responsible for the handling of national and international truck and intermodal shipments for packed goods.

  • You plan the shipments to external customers in compliance with legal, BASF-internal, safety-relevant and packaging-related regulations to meet the customer-specific service levels.
  • You monitor all deliveries through to final delivery date and communicate daily with internal and external customers and hauliers so any issues or delays can be quickly resolved.
  • Furthermore, you produce, control and file all necessary transport documents, safety data sheets and customs invoices.
  • You monitor and evaluate the service provider's performance in terms of quality, reliability and feedback rate through regular contact and supplier reviews.
  • In addition, you are responsible for the cost control in case of special arrangements-examination of additional costs incurred and entering these into SAP along with the preparation of the corresponding transport conditions.
  • degree in logistics, supply chain or other comparable area or relevant experience in logistics and/or transport management
  • experience in logistics and/or transport management
  • understanding of the transportation regulations for the movement of chemicals across all modes of transport (ADR/IMO/IATA/RID)
  • ability to work with MS Office packages, and SAP R/3
  • fluent Dutch and English written and spoken, any other language is a plus
  • Location-independent work models with defined days of presence in Berlin and place of residence in Germany.
