Junior Planner

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out the creation of fixed line design projects for the extension of existing Fixed Line network to residential or business site using client supplied instruction and survey information provided.
Develop and provide planning of the route including cabling and civils requirements, possibly using PIA as a solution. Completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals working to KPI’s and quality targets provided by your Planning Team Lead.
Responsibilities:
* Responsible for creation and delivery of project designs and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
* Responsible to maintain excellent communication with project coordinators and Planning Team Lead
* Responsible for recognising risks, raise, issue and escalate through the survey & design life cycle
Experience:
* Knowledge of GIS platforms and Microsoft Tools - Desirable.
* Strong communication skills – Essential
* The ability to manage across a variety of stakeholders providing continuous reporting through the life cycle of multiple design projects - Preferred
* Previous experience in a similar role in the Telecommunications industry - Preferred
* Reasonable technical knowledge of network rollout - Preferred
* Able to identify potential risks to health & safety and cost and escalates or proactively manages where necessary - Essential
* I.T. and database skills - Preferred
* Problem solver/solution finder to specific and generic issues on site rollout – Desirable
Preferred Knowledge of:
* FTTP (Fibre to the Premise) for MDU (Multi Dwelling Unit).
* HFC (Hybrid Fibre-Coax) for MDU.
* FTTP & HFC network.
* Fibre Trunk Route Survey & Planning.

Salary (per annum):
£22,308 to £31,250 dependent on experience
