Maintenance Operative – Newcastle
Start Date: ASAP
Location: Newcastle NE1
Hours: Monday – Friday 9.00am – 5.00pm – covering 35 hours per week
Salary: £13.50 - £14.50ph
Duration: Temporary – 12 week contract
Duties:
* General building maintenance , ensuring a safe and tidy environment
* Responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the student accommodation.
* Provide excellent customer service when speaking with colleagues and students
* Be responsible for the planned maintenance including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting testing, fire extinguisher checks water hygiene flushing / temperature monitoring, shower head descaling and health & safety checks
* Record, log and monitor any maintenance issues that may arise within the maintenance logbook
Skills and Experience Required:
* High attention to detail.
* Previous experience of maintenance , general handyman work
* Hard working and reliable.
* Great communicational skills.
* Having a thorough understanding of Health and Safety.
