Project Manager, Hertfordshire, £aae
Our client is looking for a Project Manager that is looking to move up to a Contracts Manager position. The role will involve initial negotiation to final execution. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and internal teams, to ensure that contractual requirements are met and that projects are completed on time and within budget.You will also Project Manage the sites when work starts.
The responsibilities for the Project Manager role are as follows:
* Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management strategies.
* Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
* Team Leadership: Lead and motivate project teams, including subcontractors and vendors, to achieve project goals and deliverables.
* Budget Management: Monitor project finances, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality.
* Quality Assurance: Implement quality control processes to ensure workmanship meets industry standards and client expectations.
* Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to address issues that may arise during construction.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive contract records, including correspondence, approvals, and modifications, in accordance with established procedures.
Skills required for the Project Manager role are:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera P6, Procore, Microsoft Project).
* Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
* PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
