We have a fantastic opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team at our offices in Swansea where you will be working on our Welsh Water framework. We are looking for a colleague who has experience working in sectors such as highways, infrastructure, utilities, civils, or rail.  We are open to applications from candidates who live in; or can commute from some of the following areas: Newport, Cwmbran, Pontypool, Abergavenny, Ebbw Vale, Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare, Pontypridd, Cardiff, Barry, Porthcawl, Bridgend, Port Talbot, Neath, Llanelli, Ammanford, Carmarthen, Llandeilo and the surrounding areas.

Main ResponsibilitiesReporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Quantity Surveyor will be required to prepare and articulate competent plans for any scale of project that comply with Company and functional procedures and standards.  

On a day to day basis, key responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor will include the following (not exhaustive):

Overseeing commercial aspects of the Welsh Water framework 
Preparing and agreeing interim valuations and final accounts 
Recording, monitoring and reviewing the financial performance of contracts 
Managing financial accounts and report to senior management on the project performance 
Liaising and presenting to the client on the project performance 
Securing payments from customers within the specified contract terms 
Subcontract procurement and management of subcontractor accounts 
Pre-contract pricing and agreement project costs 
Overseeing the measurement and preparation of valuations Due to the nature of the work, a company vehicle is included with the role and therefore you must have a FULL UK manual car driving licence with no more than 6 points 

The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveyor who is a member of a relevant professional body such as RICS, has experience of working on Civil Engineering projects and is driven to succeed.

Please note it is essential to have prior experience or an understanding of NEC forms of contract.
