Staff Accountant

Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger (e.g. by assets, liabilities and expenses)
Conduct month-end and year-end closures
Prepare documents for audits
Plan, organize, monitor, and train the daily activities of the accounting team
Advance knowledge of all the duties in the office including deal processing, daily deposits, A/R, A/P, title work
Timely completion of month-end close and financial statement transmissions
Process daily and monthly reports
Prepare monthly bank & finance reserve reconciliations
Maintain internal controls and company processes and procedures
Participate in financial audits
Ability to partner with CFO and provide insight on department and expense variances and opportunities
 This is not a remote position. You will be working directly with the CFO of the company.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting
At least 2 years of experience in accounting,
Previous experience in homecare or healthcare a plus
Proficiency MS Excel
QuickBooks experience a plus
Experience w/multistate companies a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership and managerial abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Thorough knowledge of accounting and finance
Prior experience in the oversight and managment of an accounting office
Ability to acquire understanding and absorb new information rapidly
Analytical, organized, and enthusiastic leader
