We are looking for experienced Maintenance Supervisors who are interested in working in the recycling and environmental sustainability industry. You will supervise the maintenance employees and contractors to ensure the site is operating safely at all times and within the guidelines of Sims policies and procedures. Working in one of our key sites, Long Marston, the successful candidate will be part of a team working under the supervision of a knowledgeable and supportive Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities

* Front-line maintenance contractor safety management

* Risk assessment of maintenance jobs by staff / contractors

* Ensure safety and housekeeping in workshop and warehouses

* Complete an agreed target number of safety conversations per month

* Perform toolbox talks with direct reports

* Adopt and promote a Zero Harm workplace attitude, drive improvement in Health and Safety

* Liaise and maintain regular contact with Maintenance Manager

* Provide holiday / sickness / absence cover for Maintenance Manager

* Complete performance reviews for direct reports

* Support and develop maintenance team members

* Maintenance

* Creates and administers the weekly plan (mechanical / electrical, corrective / preventive)

* Maintains warehouses and booking in/out of parts

* Coordinate suppliers, to include raising POs for parts and services

* Ensures availability of parts / critical spares

* Ability to perform hands-on mechanical maintenance if required

* Perform such other duties as the Company may from time to time reasonably require

* Comply with all Company policies related to Code of Conduct, Environmental, Health and Safety and Community

Qualifications

* Excellent knowledge of relevant Environmental, Health and Safety legislation.
