If you are a driven and people focussed operations professional who applies a CI mindset in order to solve problems and deliver results, then we have the perfect role for you.

We are working exclusively with a growing, family-owned produce supplier, who are part of a wider group and who are dedicated to putting customers first, in the search for a Head of Operations to lead their site operation in Cambridgeshire. As the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for leading this £60m turnover site whilst developing a highly dynamic and cross functional team, which includes Engineering and Supply Chain, whilst delivering against the business strategy.

The person that will be successful as the Head of Operations will:

As a group they hold a deep passion for farming and, through collaboration with farmers, they supply the biggest names in retail with the finest quality produce, all packed with care on-site. Supplying some of the biggest names in retail, the role would see you push the limits of what is possible, driving performance through continuous improvement methods across the whole operation. Alongside this, there’s a strong focus on CAPEX to increase the performance and output of the site, which makes it an extremely exciting time to make your mark!

To be successful you will need:

* Experience leading teams as a Factory Manager or above

* A strong background within Food Manufacturing, ideally within short shelf life products

* IOSH qualified

* Experience having financial or budget responsibility and be good with numbers

* Demonstrable experience of a CI mindset

Some of the key responsibilities of the Head of Operations:

* To take a key role in creating and evaluating the business plan annually considering internal and external factors, reporting and presenting back to the wider senior leadership team on a regular basis

* Lead, develop and motivate a multi-faceted site operations team with the inclusion of the Engineering and Supply Chain teams

* Play a key role within the senior leadership team, working collaborative in order to deliver on business targets, drive profitability and enhance growth for the future

* To provide suitable and accurate proposal for CAPEX spend across the sites now and in the future

* Take accountability for operational department’s success; ensuring that all objectives are set with the business plan in mind and are met on time to ensure the vision of the business is achieved leading to future growth

* Identify and lead initiatives to drive Continuous Improvement within the business

* Drive a culture of performance within the operational function ensuring that they have an adequate number of trained individuals to meet the workload and ensure any needs are met through a documented training plan

They are offering the successful candidate circa £80,000 + a great bonus scheme and wider benefits.
