Our client is a well-established family run business, based in Bognor Regis, providing sustainable consumables (GNFR) solutions for forward-thinking brands. The company is on an ambitious journey to triple its size within the next 5 years, and is seeking to enhance its team to achieve these exciting goals.

The Sales Development Manager will focus on developing and maintaining relationships with strategic customers, identifying influencers and key decision-makers within retailers, and driving new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Key Account Management: Oversee 6-10 key accounts, with significant accounts valued at over £1million and others between £200k-£300k+.

* Prospecting: Fully dedicated to new business development with a hunter mentality, while nurturing existing accounts.

* Appointment Booking: Schedule meetings with key decision-makers, primarily in an office-based role.

* Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain robust relationships with key clients to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

* Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies.

* Sales Reporting: Prepare and present regular sales reports, including performance analysis and market feedback to senior management.

* Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, under the guidance of Sales Manager, to align efforts with overall company goals and strategies.

Requirements:

* Proven track record within a sales role, including prospecting and Key Account Management.

* Experience in selling to the retail sector is highly desirable (not essential).

* Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies.

* Personal Attributes: High energy, friendly, optimistic, self-disciplined, excellent time management, and a good telephone manner.

* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software and sales analytics tools.

* Cultural Fit: A team player with a positive attitude, capable of driving continuous improvement
