Swift Placements are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's team in ensuring the smooth operation of their facilities. This is a permanent position, based in St Helens.
The main purpose of this role being to provide production support for the manufacturing facilities and to maintain and repair all plant equipment. The successful candidate will also attend to breakdowns and resolve these in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Tasks & Objectives:
* Maintaining manufacturing machinery and have an understanding of PPM techniques.
* Reactive and preventative maintenance and assisting with breakdown repairs.
* Maintaining auxiliary equipment and general site repairs
* Daily, weekly, monthly maintenance schedules.
* Annual mechanical maintenance.
* Working within the permit to work system.
* Carry out risk assessments when applicable.
* Working within the permit to work system.
Person Specification:
* To have a flexible approach to workload, in terms of working as an individual or as part of the engineering team, to the demands of the production plants.
* Time served/ Engineering background. Good solid skill set, basic workshop & fitting skills.
* Fabrication and welding skills.
* Electrical skills.
* Experience of working on boilers.

* 39.5 hour working week (6-2, 7-3 or 8-4 days)
* Overtime (Saturdays) paid at x1.5
