My client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding Financial Services company based in Norwich across multiple sites and with offices in the south of England and internationally.

My client is a family company, starting just twenty years ago , specialising in financial advisory, sales, and supportive services. As my client embraces new acquisitions and in doing so scale their operations, they recognise the growing need for an experienced People Manager to join their existing support team and contribute to their journey. Role overview

If you are looking for a role encompassing the full remit of People activity including providing leadership, guidance and coaching and supporting Line Managers with all HR issues, in a fast paced, customer-focused, approachable company, then this could be the role for you.

As my clients People Manager, you will be the architect of their HR department, crafting its foundation and leading its evolution. This role is not just about managing the fundamentals of HR management, including recruitment and selection, policy and practices, discipline & grievance, mentoring, reward and conditions, contracts, training & development, talent management, succession planning, driving performance appraisals. It is also about being a pioneer, designing and implementing processes and procedures that resonate with my clients core values of quality, value, and service. You will help with fostering a workspace that is as nurturing as it is professional, in line with the companies culture.

You will manage the recruitment and selection process to support my clients rapid growth and ensure a fit for their vibrant culture, leading on initiatives for attraction using all entry points, including working closely with the UEA, my clients referral scheme and all social media platforms. To additionally, work with my clients PSL of agencies.

You will create a library of job descriptions and organisation charts, ensuring these are reviewed regularly.

You will lead on employee engagement and work with managers within the business on organisational culture and core values.

You will promote staff performance through regular appraisals, promoting individual and team performance and development, including supporting employees with their own personal development plans.

You will coach managers on all new and revised employment legislation policies and procedures, monitoring, interpreting and ensuring consistency across the business in ER matters.

You will oversee training and the development of employees, providing both in-house and external training and coaching to all line managers.

You will lead on wellbeing initiatives across the business including championing a culture of openness towards and support for mental health.

You will work in partnership with the business to ensure continuous improvement in support of businesses growth, including succession planning and identification and nurturing of key talent.

You will support the management team in effective decision making around People decisions, to strengthen business results, introducing best practise HR initiatives and business excellence solutions.

You will provide meaningful management information, reporting to ensure that headcount, starters, leavers, sickness/absence, maternity, paternity & adoption leave are recorded. management Stay abreast of technological advancements, leveraging tech-savvy solutions to enhance HR information, processes and systems, ensuring they are effective and scalable.

You will support the payroll processes through relevant policies and procedures and providing an effective communications link with my clients Accounts department.

You will facilitate as a mediator when required to resolve employee grievances & disciplinary matters, smoothly and efficiently.

You will promote company values and shape a positive culture, reflecting my clients social and professional ethos.

Personal requirements

* A proven track record as a transformative HR Manager

* A strong knowledge of HR functions (talent management, recruitment, training & development & up to date employment legislation)

* A ‘Can Do’ approach and resilient attitude

* Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

* Strong interpersonal & organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively

* Clear, consistent and engaging communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail

* A natural team worker and networker, with the ability to lead & influence crossfunctional teams & stakeholders at all levels.

* Strong sense of ownership and accountability

* Able to manage others remotely

* Tech-savvy, with a knack for implementing modern HR technologies.

* CIPD qualified

Benefits and working hours

37.5 Hour week 9:00 – 17.30

Option for hybrid working after probation completed
