NineTwenty are delighted to be supporting a leading manufacturing company who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Category Analyst (Junior Buyer) to join their dynamic procurement team. This role is perfect for someone looking to start or further their career in procurement and supply chain management. As a Category Analyst, you will support the purchasing activities, analyse market trends, and assist in managing supplier relationships to ensure our manufacturing operations run smoothly and cost-effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in the development and execution of category strategies.
Analyse market trends, supplier performance, and purchasing data to support decision-making.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and logistics.
Manage relationships with suppliers, including negotiations and contract management.
Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure timely procurement of materials.
Conduct cost analysis and contribute to cost-saving initiatives.
Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and performance metrics.
Support the procurement team in day-to-day operations and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
A proactive and flexible approach to work.
