We are currently seeking a Procurement specialist (w/m/d) who will be responsible for the management of direct and indirect products and materials suppliers. In this role you will be responsible for the improvement of supplier performance, cost reduction, risk reduction and supplier relationship management. Supplier selection, contract management and price negotiation based on internal requests will also be part of the job.

In this role, this will be your responsibilities:

• Evaluate and make recommendations on buying and selling decisions for new and existing products.
• Engage with innovation and engineering teams to ensure new product success.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure stock coverage and minimize costs.
• Monitor prices of main materials; analyze impact based on annual usage and present results to management for budgeting purposes.
• Identify key sources and encourage suppliers to remain competitive, to obtain the best value (quality, lead time, cost and service).

The required qualifications for the job include:

• Knowledge of best practices and awareness of the competition and factors that differentiate them in the market.
• Bachelor's degree + 3-5 years of work experience in procurement or strategic sourcing.
  Additional training would be a plus (for example a background in engineering, Purchasing Negotiation, MBA, etc.).
• Fluent Oral and written in German and English .
• Experience with Microsoft Excel Power BI to create and manipulate spreadsheets and analyze data.
• Enjoy travelling to France from time to time (and USA/China once a year).
