This is a terrific opportunity for a dynamic QUANTITY SURVEYOR / ESTIMATOR to join a successful company that specialise in bespoke Structural Design Engineering for high-end Residential, Commercial and Housing sectors across Greater London, Kent and Essex.

ROLE: QUANTITY SURVEYOR / SOCIAL HOUSING PROJECT ESTIMATOR

LOCATION: Office based in Kent (with visits to project sites as required), you will live within easy reach of M25, you may be searching for Quantity Surveyor jobs in Kent, Rochester, Bexleyheath, Dartford, Wrotham, Maidstone, Sidcup, Swanley, Orpington, Bromley, SE London, Essex.

SALARY: £55K basic plus mileage, company benefits, incentives, bonuses, onsite parking, and company pension.

HOURS: Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be an integral part of the business, ensuring that social housing construction projects are delivered within budget and to quality standards, aligning with financial, regulatory, and ethical guidelines. As the main financial contact from the client side, handling queries and concerns related to project costs and contracts, your day-to-day duties and responsibilities will also include:

* Preparing and managing project budgets, cost management and financial reports.

* Conducting cost analysis; drawing up estimates on various social housing projects.

* Assessing the financial impact of design and technical changes within a project.

* Creating tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.

* Managing the procurement process to ensure transparency and fair dealing.

* Ensuring contract compliance by monitoring contractor performance and the quality of work.

* Implementing Contract Administration; Negotiating and liaising with contractors and subcontractors.

* Preparing cost value reconciliation & commercial reports.

* Ensuring company procedures, protocols and company policies are being adhered to.

You will be an experienced Quantity Surveyor, ideally with a Degree/HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying; a background in Quantity Surveying/ Commercial Management; a sound knowledge of quantity surveying principles, practices, and methodologies; possibly within Social Housing Construction projects.

You will work well under pressure, with excellent organisational and forward planning skills, as well as strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
