Senior Bridge Engineer

In the role of Senior Bridge Engineer, you'll collaborate with our clients' design hub, spearheading the design process for major bridge projects for National Highways. Previous experience with major highways bridges is a must-have for this position. This is a long term contract role which falls inside IR35.

The role

·Contribute to the successful delivery of the programme of work by producing, developing and overseeing sound bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale
·Developing and designing solutions in accordance with National design standards (Eurocodes and DMRB essential)
·Production and overseeing of designs that comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations
·Contribute to the regular reporting of progress to clients by communicating with line managers regarding their progress against planned programme
·Eurocode review and coordination for the wider bridge design team
 
Key skills and experience required
 
·Experience in a similar role within major highways
·Extensive knowledge of Eurocodes for bridges
·Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE, MIStructE or equivalent)
·Proven experience of bridge design standards and analysis
·Management and delivery of projects to programme and budget constraints
