DBS Staffing Services, Inc. is currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Front Desk professional to join our client, a reputable Funeral Home located in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. As a family-owned staffing company, DBS is dedicated to connecting talented individuals with reputable organizations in need of reliable and skilled employees. The Front Desk role at the Funeral Home is an essential part of ensuring a respectful and comforting experience for grieving families and visitors.
Responsibilities
Provide a warm and compassionate welcome to grieving families and visitors, maintaining a professional and empathetic demeanor at all times.
Answer phone calls and inquiries, providing information about funeral services, pricing, and general assistance.
Schedule and coordinate funeral arrangements, paying close attention to details and ensuring accuracy.
Manage and maintain confidential records and paperwork.
Assist with administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and correspondence.
Flexibility a MUST. Work is between two facilities, one in Chesapeake and the other in Virginia Beach.
Monday through Friday and, every other week, work weekends and off midweek.
Overtime guaranteed every other week with the opportunity of overtime every week if agreed to.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role.
Good CSR skills to deal with upset customers.
Compassionate and empathetic nature, with the ability to provide support and comfort to grieving families.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in scheduling and record-keeping.
Proficient computer skills and familiarity with office software.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Flexible schedule to accommodate funeral services at two locations that may take place outside of regular working hours.
