Job Title: Epidemiologist
Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204 (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (with possible extension)
Job Description:
The primary purpose of this position is to analyze data, investigate clusters, evaluate programs, and produce reports.
Essential Duties/ Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for analysis of birth defects and other genetic conditions to monitor incidence, prevalence, trends, clusters, and disparities.
The candidate will implement public health initiatives based on the data.
Other responsibilities and regular tasks include, but are not limited to, the following activities.
Analyze data and report conclusions.
Give presentations to team and stakeholders.
Manage multiple projects at once.
Develop studies to gain more information.
Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
The candidate must have a masters degree in epidemiology, biostatistics, or another related field.
The candidate is required to have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience with data analysis, and experience with database systems is preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Position requires knowledge of epidemiology, public health, birth defects, and genetic conditions.
Skills in SAS, SPSS, or Excel are required.
The ability to comprehend and apply federal and state laws, rules, and regulations related and applicable to project tasks is required.
