We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Production Planner to join our team. The Production Planner will play a crucial role in coordinating and scheduling production activities, and effectively implementing changes within our manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving successful outcomes within tight timelines, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of production planning and change management principles.

SoLa Impact is a real estate private equity firm with a double bottom line strategy focused on preserving, rehabbing, and building high-quality affordable housing in Black and brown communities. SoLa is Southern California's largest for-profit affordable housing developer and is currently in construction on over 2,000 affordable housing units across Southern California. SoLa currently owns and manages over $1.2 billion of multifamily assets, almost all of which are in low-income, Black and brown communities.
SoLa's affiliate, MODEL/Z is reinventing multifamily housing creation by building the first and only standardized modular housing factory. The MODEL/Z is a comprehensive manufacturing system designed, engineered, and built to consistently produce a high-quality, low-cost, net-zero ready, and most importantly, standardized, modular housing product. MODEL/Z is a Black-owned and operated business based in Southern California that will deliver between 1,000 – 1,500 modular housing units per year by 2025. Requirements
Develop and maintain production schedules based on production targets, inventory levels, and production capacity. 
Collaborate with procurement team to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components for production. 
Lead cross-functional teams in the identification, assessment, and prioritization of engineering change initiatives, including design updates, process improvements, and technology implementations. 
Coordinate the execution and timing of change initiatives, ensuring alignment with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain objectives. 
Monitor the progress of engineering change initiatives, identifying and addressing any issues or roadblocks that may arise. 
Work closely with Planning and Inventory teams to understand stock related to part levels and cut-in points.  Identify and resolve potential production issues or bottlenecks to minimize disruptions and meet production targets. 
Verify BOMs are properly updated, and information is flowing through MRP system with correct part pedigree, revision levels & quantities. 
Provide leadership and guidance to stakeholders involved in implementing change initiatives in adherence to project timelines. 
Conduct impact assessments to evaluate potential production risks and challenges, and support with developing mitigation strategies accordingly. 
Continuously evaluate and refine production processes and procedures to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. 
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain, or a related field. 
Proven experience in production planning, preferably within a manufacturing environment. 
Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization. 
Self-motivated. 
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions. 
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. 
Proficiency in using MRP/MES systems. 
Preferred Qualifications: 
Project management certification (e.g., PMP), change management certification (e.g., Prosci), and/or supply chain certification (e.g., CPIM)
