This is a hybrid position, while we work remotely 80-90% of the time, we travel, and co-work in person once per month. The ideal candidate lives in the New England area.
Focus:  To oversee, manage and execute Ember events and meeting projects. To take a small, medium gathering from start to finish while meeting standards of an Ember portfolio gathering (objectives met, client expectations, budget performance, attendee satisfaction).
THE ROLE
75% Gathering planning, 10% Team management, 10% Partner/Vendor communication, 5% Relationship management with brands
Member of a project team. Independently manages own projects and contributes as a “captain” role to larger team projects
Manage unique multi-faceted events of all sizes and scales, independently, and through collaboration with captains
Oversee all aspects including; budget management, attendee management, general session production and live shows, site selection, food + beverage, activities, transportation, creative + media development
Utilize Ember’s Project Management tools to create and sustain project timelines, organize files, communicate information to project team and archive project documentation
Exercise autonomy while adhering to Ember’s project process 
Think outside the box, exercise creativity and pursue opportunities to create authentic and unique gatherings
Recognize learnings through successes and areas of improvement so that best practices are shared and followed
Travel is expected at a minimum of 25% or 7.5 days per month - this includes site visits, client meetings, and onsite at events. This could vary month-to-month.
COLLABORATE WITH THE EMBER TEAM,  CLIENT, AND VENDORS
Act as main client liaison, providing proactive consultation throughout program development and execution as well as secure future recurring and new business opportunities with client
Set the tone with communication excellence, both written and verbal, exercising proficiency with internal team members and while interfacing with clients externally
Practice effective meetings criteria when working internally and externally
Collaborate, direct and support internal project team, including Gatherings Coordinators, Designers, Creative Managers, Production Designers, contractors and interns as needed to complete projects
Engage Ember preferred vendors as collaborators delivering exceptional services.  Source, negotiate and manage budget and detail specifications, while strengthening partnerships
Requirements
ACCOUNTABILITY
Quality control and health of events and clients managed
Responsible COGS management at or above 5% per gathering
Independently manage a portfolio of $250-325K+ in project revenue - that includes at least (2) medium-sized projects $50,000+ NET (ReVision Energy, Underscore, MGBHP Activation, etc.)
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree or higher education preferred
Portfolio of “Gathering” work - 4+ years worth
Moldable - the ability to be shaped by Ember

A sense of humor
Ability to give and receive feedback and learn from it
