Senior Transport Planner

Transport Planner - Trafford Park - Up to £35,000

You will be joining an independent logistics company that are experts in all they do, are looking for a Transport Planner to join their team.

As Transport Planner, you will be working with a small team of Planners, routing company owned vehicles UK wide.

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: 06:00-16:00 - Monday to Friday

Salary: Up to £35,000

The Role:

Transport planner will be routing company owned vehicles
You must Plan routes as cost effectively as possible
It is the Transport Planners responsibility to plan routes in line with WTD and Drivers Hours
Transport Planner will ensure all customers are kept up to date
All necessary admin must be completed
You will be working with the Operations Manager to ensure that all vehicles are in compliance with company standards
Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g. costing, agreeing charge rates with contractors, queries in accordance with the companies' requirements.The Requirements:

Extensive Transport route planning skills
General Haulage is experience preferred
CPC Desirable
Excellent geographical knowledge
