The Firm:
This international law firm are one of the world's largest firms, with more than 12,000+ people across 80+ countries around the world. The firm take pride in their global capabilities serving clients of all shapes and sized on a variety of legal issues.

The Department:
The top tier Environment team advises across all areas of Environment and ESG, Climate Change, Sustainability, Health & Safety and product liability. The team advise an exciting and varied client base including large multinationals, private equity and institutional investor clients, as well as HM Government departments. The team offers an exciting mix of work covering transactional and advisory work as well as contentious matters including regulatory and criminal defence work.

The firm are recognised in the legal directories for their capabilities to advise clients on ESG-related matters and the effects of their implementation in both the short and long-term in multi-jurisdictional as well as domestic context.

The Opportunity:
The team are looking for an enthusiastic solicitor with at least three years' experience to join their team and serve an increase in workload. This is an opportunity to gain knowledge and expertise from a top-tier international practice, where you can expect a varied workload with lots of responsibility and opportunity to build your own client relationships.

The team's current case load includes advisory work on new legislation such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive and the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive, regulatory defence work including environmental and health and safety prosecutions, as well as transactional work on large complex cross border transactions.

Requirements:
To be successful in your application you will have gained experience at a top-tier law firm in London. You will have excellent academics and have experience and knowledge in: Environmental law; ESG and sustainability; Health & Safety; Human rights and social compliance; non-financial reporting and disclosure; climate change and carbon trading.
