Senior Health and Safety Advisor

Principal People are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by a returning client, and a very successful, multi-award-winning professional services firm, who are looking to recruit a Senior Health and Safety Advisor.

This company collaborates with a variety of companies from globally recognised blue-chip companies through to start-ups and SMEs across a variety of sectors. This role is however focused internally within the business for their UK and international offices.

As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor, you will lead the development and implementation of health and safety policies and practices, develop and oversee the health and safety management system, work closely with senior management to identify areas of improvement, and collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure compliance standards are met and effectively tracked.

The Successful Senior Health and Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
Carrying out annual reviews of company health, safety and environmental policy.
Working with regional and international teams internally to ensure compliance across the group.
Taking a leading role in incident investigations in conjunction with claim investigators and enforcement agencies.
Liaising with HR on health and wellbeing matters.

At least 5 years’ experience working in a Health and Safety position.
A UK driving license.
NEBOSH Level 6 National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management (Professionals) or NCRQ Level 6 Diploma in Applied Health & Safety.
Previous experience in an international, global or at the least previous multi-site role will be very useful.
Excellent interpersonal skills. In return, the successful candidate will receive £60,000 – £65,000 p.a. as a basic salary dependent on experience and an outstanding suite of further benefits.
