ISRI is a leading company in the automotive industry, known for our commitment to safety and environmental sustainability. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Supervisor to join our team. As an EHS Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations to create a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. You will be responsible for developing and implementing EHS policies and programs, conducting inspections and audits, and providing training and guidance to employees and management.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement EHS policies, programs, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company standards.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, evaluate risk, and recommend corrective actions.
Provide guidance and support to employees and management regarding EHS regulations and best practices.
Develop and deliver training programs on various EHS topics, including hazard communication, emergency response, and personal protective equipment.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss events to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to EHS activities, including incident reports, inspection findings, and training records.
Coordinate and participate in emergency response drills and ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address EHS issues and drive continuous improvement in safety and environmental performance.
Stay informed about emerging EHS regulations, industry trends, and best practices.
Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies, auditors, and contractors.
Participate in internal and external EHS audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Assist with accident and incident investigations and develop recommendations for prevention.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management or related field.
Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and best practices.
Experience in developing and implementing EHS policies, programs, and procedures.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Ability to train and educate employees at all levels of the organization.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
Professional certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are preferred.
Other revelant certifications are a plus
Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
