An organisation based in Hatfield are seeking a skilled and dynamic Business Analyst to join our team for a 6-month fixed term. As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in gathering requirements, analysing data, generating reports, and providing strategic support to drive business growth and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, and requirements for new initiatives.
· Collect, organise, and analyse data from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategies.
· Develop and maintain regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide visibility into business performance.
· Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights that support the development and execution of business strategies and initiatives.
· Utilise statistical techniques and predictive modelling to forecast future trends and outcomes, supporting strategic planning and resource allocation.
· Identify opportunities for process optimisation and efficiency gains through analysis of workflows and business processes.
· Document business requirements, processes, and outcomes in a clear and concise manner for stakeholders and project teams.
· Collaborate with teams to ensure alignment and integration of business objectives.

Requirements

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and specifically, Power BI
· Strong analytical and numerical skills
· Excellent organisational skills with an ability to find effective solutions.
· Experience in producing business reports for management.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
· Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and present data in a succinct and formatted manner.
· Research and analyse customer data to help make key business decisions via market segmentation.
· Creatively identify future business needs and bring value to the organisation from customers and markets.
· Stay informed about the market, competitors, and trends to leverage business growth and identify risks.

Additional Information

The role could be hybrid with some work-from-home flexibility, but initially requires full-time presence in the office to understand processes and attend meetings.
The Business Analyst will be a part of the management team but will be the sole analyst supporting the Operations Director
