Bouygues UK has a fantastic opportunity available for a BIM Coordinator (or Senior BIM Coordinator) to join our Technical team. The role would be based from our Bristol or Cardiff office, covering projects across the South West & Wales region.

The BIM Coordinator would have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of exciting and innovative projects in multiple sectors. This is both an office and project based role, managing and undertaking BIM tasks and supporting the BIM manager.

Job Purpose and Scope:

Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project teams to develop and successfully implement BIM standards, protocols, and workflows.

Assist in the adoption of BIM technologies, tools, and methodologies within the project team, promoting best practices and efficient workflows.

Provide leading Information Management & best practices to ensure ISO19650, Building Safety Act Golden Thread, change control and Filing & Archiving requirements.

Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between multidisciplinary teams, including clients, to enhance coordination and project outcomes.

Provide guidance, training, and technical support to project team members on BIM software, tools, and workflows, ensuring proficiency and adherence to BIM standards.

Chair BIM Workshops to discuss / review compliance with project BIM Requirements compiling minutes and action items from this sessions and follow-up.

Conduct regular quality control assessment reports on BIM models and associated deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and the companies quality assurance protocols.

Generate and maintain accurate documentation, reports, and project records related to BIM coordination activities, milestones, and project deliverables.

Requirements:

Strong proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Dynamo, Revizto), along with a solid understanding of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g., ISO19650, IFC, COBie), and industry best practices.

Familiarity with clash detection, model management, data extraction, and visualisation techniques.

Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) and parametric design principles is advantageous but not essential.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking to identify and resolve coordination issues, perform clash detection analyses, and propose innovative solutions.

Strong organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring accurate model management, compliance, and quality control.

Ability to adapt to changing project requirements, multitask, and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced architectural environment.
