As we expand into the clean energy market we have vacancies for CNC turners/millers to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity to work in a modern machine shop with a great team of people. Key responsibilities include:
· Programming, setting and operating CNC milling and turning machines
* Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
* Finishing components to the highest quality standards
* Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
* Making authorised amendments to CNC programmes to meet component design requirements
* Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
The successful applicant will be a team player who can equally work on their own initiative, and meet the following criteria:
* Experienced CNC turner/miller - programmer, setter and operator (although we will consider applicants with limited programming experience who are willing to learn)
* Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial
* Experience of operating twin turret multi-axis CNC machines will be an advantage
* Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
* Able to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
* Experience of CMM desirable
