Trainee / Junior Estimator

We have an excellent opportunity for an individual to join a highly successful and industry recognised Steelwork Engineering business based near Syston, Leicestershire, as a Trainee / Junior Estimator.

You will join an existing team and can expect on the job training with the potential to develop a skillset that can provide you with a long-term career within the business. You will receive a competitive salary, which will be regularly reviewed as you progress in this supportive and friendly environment.

Trainee / Junior Estimator duties:

• Working with and assisting the Estimating team with a range of duties to understand the role and develop Estimating skills.

• Reviewing drawings and specifications and conducting material takes offs from them.

• Assigning costs for the full scope of work (design, fabrication, transport, erection).

Trainee / Junior Estimator requirements:

• Have a genuine interest in construction/steelwork and be seeking a career in Estimating.

• Any experience of construction or steelwork either via education or in another role would be advantageous.

• Have a confident approach and good communication skills.

• Be reliable and have good attention to detail.

• Live in/within a commutable distance of Syston.
