Are you passionate about working in a women-led membership organisation and supporting local violence against women services and survivors across the East Midlands
For the role as a domestic violence support worker you will need excellent listening skills, tact, sensitivity and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and organisations at varying levels whilst maintaining clear professional boundaries.
An understanding of issues surrounding domestic abuse, sexual violence and violence against women is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively.
The Charity are looking for Domestic violence Support Workers which will have the responsibility of helping women with going to appointments, securing accommodation and building relationships.
Experience of providing direct support and an understanding of risk assessment are desirable, but full training will be provided.
The charity is open 24/7 and it is therefore it is essential that the successful candidate is prepared to work various and unsociable shifts.
