A well-respected training & consultancy company is looking for an experienced Training Instructor to join their successful team in Northampton. You'll be engaging with customers across manufacturing sectors and using a wide variety of hardware to deliver excellent training courses.

The company you'll be joining have been operating independently and supporting equipment manufacturers and end users within the industrial sector for the last 30 years. Their training is regarded to be among the very best across the UK and this is due to having people with the right knowledge, attitude & experience running their courses. They offer a wide range of training, but the core business is built around adult training on electrical courses.

Role Responsibilities

As a Training Instructor, you'll deliver training on Electrical Health and Safety, Safe Isolation & Resetting Trips & Overloads, Duty Holder's Safety of Electrical Systems, Fundamental industrial electrical Inspection and Testing, C&G 18th Edition, In-Service Inspection & Testing of Electrical Equipment (formerly PAT), etc.

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting and delivering key industrial courses
Developing and maintaining good training notes and materials
Helping to build new examples & exercises for the training
Spending a minimum of one week per month training on customers sites that require overnight stays away
Occasionally visiting customer sites to assess skills
Courses are delivered in the Training Centre in Wellingborough, on client sites across the UK and occasionally overseasRewards

As a Training Instructor, you'll receive:

A starting salary between £45,000 - £50,000
Generous mileage allowance or fully expensed company car depending on preference
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
08:30 - 17:00 working day, Mon - Fri (flexible part time role is also an option)Requirements

The role would suit an Electrical Trainer or Instructor working within another educational organisation or college, or experienced Maintenance Managers, Electricians & Multiskilled Engineers who have the required experience within an industrial environment and are keen to help others learn. You should have:

Knowledge and experience of the electrical courses mentioned above
The ability to communicate clearly and a strong desire to help others learn
IT skills to be able to use relevant equipment
A full UK driving licence
Previous involvement with coaching, mentoring &/or developing colleagues or having delivered classroom led training would be advantageousSubmit your application today to find out more
