CNC Machinist
Salary: £15.00 - £16.00 per hour
OTE: £43,500 - working 4 DAYS per week

What does the role involve?
EMBS Engineering is in partnership with a successful family-owned precision engineering firm, located in the North Nottinghamshire area. They are a leading subcontractor, supplying to a wide range of clients within the Nuclear, Rail, Oil & Gas, and Aerospace markets.
Our client works with globally renowned OEMs and following over 3 decades of business, they offer both quality and longevity, combined with having some of the market's most up to date machinery. Due to further investment in the company and new and exciting machinery arriving in the coming months, our client is looking for a skilled CNC Miller to join their fast-paced, modern and exciting machining division.
As a CNC Miller / CNC Turner you will have the capabilities to set, operate and edit multi axis CNC machines.
You will be working alongside talented engineers, supplying highly complex components to a diverse range of industries and clients. You will also be responsible for self-inspecting your own work and reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

What experience do you need?
* Strong precision engineering background
* Minimum 2 years experience as a CNC Miller and / or CNC Turner
* Experience setting, operating and editing CNC Milling / CNC Turning machines
* Previous machined complex parts for precision industries including Aerospace, Motorsport, Nuclear, MOD, Oil & Gas etc
* Previously worked with various metals such as aluminum, titanium, stainless steel etc
* Experience machining to tight tolerances
* Confident working with small to medium-sized components
* Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings
What do you get?
* Permanent position
* £15.00 - £16.00 per hour depending on experience + shift allowance
* Shifts: Days, Nights or Days and Nights rotating are available
* Days - Option to work a 4 or 5 day week
* 4 day week (4 x 12 hour shifts, Monday to Thursday) = 48 hours (9 hours paid at x1.5)
* 5 day week (8am - 4.30pm Mon to Thur, 8am - 3.30pm Fri) = 39 hours
* Flexible start and finish times
* Shift allowance for nights: 33%
* Overtime available at premium rates - x1.5 after 39 hours
