Location: Thurrock with hybrid working
Salary: c£60,000 + car + bonus
Summary:
An experienced Sales Manager with a good knowledge of UK and European road freight operations is required to join the Essex based team of this well-established global logistics company. You will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth, fostering client relationships and enhancing the company's market presence as well as managing an internal sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients
Identify and target new clients.
Manage, develop and coach a small but growing team
Prepare and present proposals, quotes and pricing to potential clients.
Negotiate contract terms.
Monitor and track sales performance using relevant metrics and analytics.
Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows and conferences.
Key Skills/Experience:
Proven track record of successful business development and sales experience within the UK and European road transport and logistics industry.
Strong understanding of logistics operations, processes, and industry best practice.
Proficient understnding of road freight operations encompassing FTL/LTL, import/export regulations and customs
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Proficient in the use of CRM systems and MS office
