Polytec are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to design bespoke machinery for our client based just outside Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
* Designing leading edge machinery for a high technology global market
* Occasional travel for commissioning of equipment (up to twice per year)
* Working with rotating parts and computer controlled movement
Requirements:
* Time served apprenticeship or degree qualified with extensive experience
* Strong knowledge of pneumatic systems and rotating mechanisms
* Previous experience designing bespoke prototypes with AutoCAD
* Complete machine build experience
* Good computer skills
* Previous experience in the semiconductor, optical fibre or similar industry would be an advantage
* Leadership skills would also be an advantage
