You will be working for a company that is split across five businesses, with a group turnover of over £60m. They have been trading for seventeen years and their clients are predominantly blue-chip companies, with high service level standards. As the Finance Assistant you will report directly into the Finance Director and your responsibilities will include carrying out day to day purchase and sales ledger clerk duties and assist with the processing of sales and purchase orders. In addition, you will offer administration and finance support to their five businesses.

A typical day will include raising and sending out sales invoices, on in house procurement software. Produce and send out customer statements from Sage. Process purchase ledger invoices. Assist with weekly payment run and send out remittance advices. Reconcile supplier statements. Resolve any customer and supplier queries, reconcile company credit cards, and assist with general accounts administration.

To be considered for the Finance Assistant you will need…

To be a car driver due to their location.

Previous experience carrying out purchase and or sales ledger clerk duties.

Computer literate with knowledge of MS Excel (basic or intermediate level).

Essential to have experience of Sage 50 or Xero, or both ideally.

Team player, happy to contribute to work with other departments as required.

To be punctual, reliable, organised, motivated and positive with a can-do attitude.
