Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 DOE

As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will support the sales function for design and rapid deployment of tooling, fixturing and designs to accelerate the sales pipeline. Ideally you will be familiar with 3D scanning and additive technologies. An interest and understanding of automation technologies to facilitate efficiencies for high volume production is beneficial to the role.
Job Description
* Project manage numerous technical projects simultaneously to meet specific deadlines.
* Understand and read technical drawings received from clients; for example tolerances, surface finish & coating.
* Solid works (CAD) design of holding fixturing for cleaning, coating & for mechanical masks such a sleeves and caps that will cover areas of components from coating.
* Knowledge of 3D printing in polymers to test the designs for functionality removing the need for a prototype stage & accelerating time to market.
Skills & Experience
* Apprentice trained or qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
* 2-3 years’ experience in a CAD/Design based role.
* Experience of Solidworks 3D CAD software.
* Ability to read engineering drawings.
* Polymer, additive or rapid prototyping experience is desirable
