Overview

Proposal Engineer will play a crucial role in our organization’s growth by preparing, developing, and delivering comprehensive proposals for potential clients

Proposal Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather technical information, analyse client needs, and create persuasive proposals that align with our business goals

The ability to articulate technical solutions and convey value propositions will be essential in winning new projects and contracts.

Proposal Engineer Duties and Responsibilities

* Proposal Development: Lead the end-to-end proposal development process, including research, content creation, and document formatting, ensuring that proposals are clear, persuasive, and tailored to each client’s specific requirements.

* Technical Analysis: Collaborate with technical experts to understand project requirements, develop technical solutions, and translate complex technical information into easily understandable content for non-technical stakeholders.

* Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate cost estimates for proposed projects, considering materials, labour, equipment, and other relevant factors, while maintaining competitiveness and profitability.

* Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify strengths and weaknesses, helping to position our proposals strategically in the market.

* Client Engagement: Interface with clients to clarify project details, answer queries, and ensure that proposals align with their expectations and needs.

* Documentation and Compliance: Maintain a comprehensive database of proposal content, ensuring compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements. Ensure that tenders meet company commercial guidelines and have the necessary sign off in accordance with the delegation of authority guidelines.

* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance proposal processes, templates, and tools, and implement best practices to increase efficiency and success rates.

* Handover: Take responsibility for all associated handover documentation in the event of an order.

* Travel: Willingness to travel for Client meetings including regular visits to Company’s execution facilities.

Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills / Knowledge

* Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field

* Proven experience in proposal engineering, ideally in a technical or engineering-related industry

* Experience within pipe coating advantageous, but not essential

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite/ Knowledge of MS Project

* Experience of contract negotiation in a commercial environment
