Our client has been established over 40 years and has grown to provide a complete service in the supply of welding and fabrication solutions to various sectors including oil and gas, subsea, and renewable energy, as well as working with the Ministry of Defence and many general engineering businesses throughout the UK.
Job Summary:
The CSWIP Welding Inspector is responsible for ensuring that welding processes and welds meet the quality standards and specifications required by the industry and project requirements. This role involves the inspection and testing of welded joints, documentation of findings, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Documentation and Reporting:
Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and results.
Document non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Review and verify welding documentation, including welding procedure specifications and procedure qualification records
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all welding activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO).
Monitor and enforce safety standards and procedures related to welding activities.
Quality Assurance:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and quality assurance teams to ensure welding quality.
Participate in quality audits and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
