Control & Instrumentation Design Engineer

MC Technical Recruitment is currently looking to recruit a Controls & Instrumentation(C&I Design Engineer to join a leading business within the Energy sector.
Working as part of a large design team you will be responsible leading the C&I design function.
As the Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:
Taking ownership for large scale work associated with energy control systems
Preparing plans and quotes for tender proposals
Acting as the senior member of staff to support and mentor junior engineers
Producing control systems documentation
Provide engineering support to stakeholders throughout construction and commissioning phase
Other duties as assigned
To be considered for this role you should have:
Proven experience in a design engineering role
A relevant engineering qualification in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
Experience working with PLC and SCADA systems
An understanding of mechanical systems is beneficial
The ability to mentor junior staff members
Experience working within the Power Generation / Energy sector is preferred but not essential
