Company Overview: Our client is a leading firm specialising in groundworks and civil engineering projects. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in managing the financial aspects of our projects.

Position Overview: As a Senior Quantity Surveyor specializing in groundworks and civil engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial management of projects from inception to completion. Your expertise will ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate cost forecasting and control throughout the project lifecycle.

* Conduct detailed cost analysis, including the assessment of materials, labour, and equipment expenses.

* Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop cost-effective solutions that meet project requirements.

* Negotiate contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favourable terms and conditions.

* Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to contractual agreements and quality standards.

* Provide regular financial reports and updates to senior management, highlighting any potential risks or opportunities.

* Utilize industry-leading software and tools to streamline the quantity surveying process and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

* Professional accreditation (e.g., MRICS, MCIOB) is highly desirable.

* Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a focus on groundworks and civil engineering projects.

* In-depth knowledge of construction contracts, procurement methods, and relevant legislation.

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.

* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

* Proficiency in industry-standard quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, Procore).
