Quality Control Inspector

Quality Engineer / Site Inspector required to support the construction, structural steel and building envelope on prestigious project in Deeside.

The postholder will be working alongside the Quality Manager supporting the following:

 Determining, negotiating, and agreeing on in-house quality procedures, standards, and specifications
 Assessing customer requirements and ensuring that these are met.
 Specifying quality requirements of raw materials with suppliers, sub-contractor, and other trade handovers
 Investigating and setting standards for quality and health and safety.
 Site Quality inspection plans and assessments.
 Ensuring that manufacturing processes comply with standards at both national and international level.
 Raising Non-Conformance Reports and follow through for claims and corrective actions.
 Working with operating staff to establish procedures, standards, and systems.
 Writing management and technical reports and customers' charters.
 Determining training needs.
 Encouraging change and improvement in performance and quality.
 Directing objectives to maximise profitability.
 Recording, analysing, and distributing statistical information.
 Carrying out and monitoring testing and inspection of products and materials to ensure the finished product meets quality standards.
 Monitoring performance.
 Building strong working relationship with clients QA team

The successful candidate:

Essential: Previous construction site experience, IT literate and be able to prepare Quality Plans, Test Reports, Non-conformance Reports, EWNs & Compile Quality Records Packages.

Advantageous: Knowledge of Welding, Steel Erection, Cladding etc.

Qualifications: Quality / Inspection Qualification an advantage, CSCS Card is essential.
