Principal/Senior Full Stack Developer - Manchester - Hybrid - £75,000 + benefits
Location: Manchester
Hybrid: 2/3 days a week in office
Salary: Up to £75,000

This capital venture company is heavily investing into several of its products from traditional server/thick client technologies to modern browser-based micro-frontend and microservice architectures. You will work with developers across multiple European sites to implement new features and functionalities in each product release, following a structured iteration schedule.
As a Principal/Senior Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing essential business applications using full stack technologies. Collaborating with software architects, you will define and implement product designs. You will also play a leading role within a development team, offering technical guidance and mentoring to your colleagues.
You'll play a pivotal role in developing solutions which will change the industry on a universal scale. You'll lead a team off talented engineers & deliver new exciting projects which will positively impact everyday lives. If you are looking for growth & collaboration, this role is for you!
Key skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with Angular (version 15-17), Typescript, Node.js, and CSS within a micro-frontend/microservice architecture.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and RHEL containerized deployments.
- Experience with cloud services (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Experience with Automated Testing
- Experience with continuous integration, delivery, and deployment techniques (Jenkins, Ansible, Terraform).
- Knowledge of Kanban and/or Scrum agile methodologies.
- Experience with Progress SQL.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with software architects to create software designs.
- Lead the refinement and implementation of new features, ensuring alignment with the defined product architecture to achieve the product vision and goals, meeting all quality.
- Utilize a deep understanding of microservice and micro-frontend architectures in all design and development activities.
- Exhibit a proactive work ethic to investigate and resolve high-priority bugs following service desk triage and Product Owner approval.
- Raise issues with the Scrum Leader/Product Owner promptly, focusing on efficient and effective solutions.
- Lead workshops and research and development initiatives on future technology choices and architectures with Product Owners, Architects, and Product Managers.
- Conduct research projects to support the broader business in making informed decisions on future technology strategies.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to other development teams overseas.
This role offers a salary of up to £75,000 and a generous benefits package (mentioned above). It also offers flexible working with 2/3 days required on site and the rest from home (if preferred).
