Interim Accountant

Interim Accountant | Minimum 6 months contract | Up to £450 p/d Inside IR35 

Axon Moore have partnered with a long term client to support a number of interim management accountant roles. This is ideally suited to someone who thrives in a fast paced, high growth environment and is not afraid to role their sleeves. The contract is for a minimum 6 month term with opportunities to extend if successful. You will be responsible for preparing and reviewing month end results, including balance sheet controls and P&L analysis. Job overview - 

Demonstrate commercial awareness around how financials relate to business performance
Prepare, reconcile and review balance sheet accounts demonstrating a full understanding, to raise corrective journals where necessary and highlighting risks and opportunities
Manage and contribute to the production of accurate and timely monthly management accounts
Consolidate, analyse and review trends and variances across financial statements, interlinking non-financial data with financial data
Lead the presentation of month end reviews and act as the key point of contact with finance business partners to concisely articulate financial results and analysis
Support the business with internal and external audit reviews, dealing with queries and assisting auditors with the review process in a timely manner
Enhance the control framework of the business through the identifying, adopting and embedding new processes and controls to prevent accounting errors

Person Specification - 

Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or QBE
Previous experience as a management accountant
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
Advanced Excel Skills
Excellent technical accounting knowledge, IFRS 15 is an advantage
