Housing Maintenance Officer

Our Edinburgh based client is looking for a Planned Maintenance Officer, this is a permanent position that offers a fantastic opportunity to progress your career at a established and successful Housing Association.

Working in the Property Maintenance Team, you will deliver an excellent service for all planned repairs, maintenance and stock improvement works to ensure that the organisations assets are maintained and developed in accordance with agreed business plans, objectives, and standards.

You will help ensure planned investment and cyclical maintenance programmes are designed to effectively manage the assets, deliver on tenants priorities, and ensure compliance with externally set standards. The successful candidate will manage the Integrated Housing Management System, making sure it is fully utilised to record contract and cyclical maintenance information and that notes are made on the Housing Management System following interactions with a tenant. In addition, you will work closely with the Reactive Maintenance team, Provide statistical returns on asset information, such as the Annual Return on the Charter, manage budgets, manage Gas Contracts, follow Health & Safety guidelines, and work closely with colleagues across the organisation.

Candidates should have experience working in property maintenance, ideally with a Social Housing Association or Maintenance Contractor. It's important that you can display the ability to programme manage a variety of projects to time and budget. You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working closely with tenants and colleagues.
