We're working with a well-established construction company who are a successful housebuilder and have a history of delivering high-quality projects across the UK in the private sector and affordable housing sector. Due to a strong period of growth and projects in the pipeline, they have a requirement for a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our projects. Your responsibilities will include:
Managing all aspects of quantity surveying from pre-construction through to project completion
Preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans
Conducting thorough risk assessments and providing mitigation strategies
Collaborating with project teams to ensure adherence to budgets and cost control measures
Evaluating and negotiating subcontractor agreements and procurement contracts
Monitoring project expenditures, variations, and valuations
Providing expert advice on cost-saving measures and value engineering
Qualifications and Requirements: To succeed in this role, you should possess:
A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry - preferably private or social housing experience
Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Effective communication and negotiation skills
Proficiency in industry-standard software for quantity surveying
What We Offer:
Competitive salary in the range of £55,000 - £60,000, commensurate with experience and expertise.
