Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Operative
Location: Cardiff North - Blackweir Lodge (Four sites)
Hours of work: 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday (May vary depending on site and workload)
*Scheduled work to date: Week Commencing 8th July - 12th July, and Week Commencing 14th Sept - 16th Sept*
Pay Rate: £12.55 Per Hour (Weekly pay)
Job Description:
We are looking for x5 people with maintenance experience. Covering all aspects of general maintenance around the building from fixing a hole in the wall, painting, through to changing taps on a sink.
You will be able to confidently undertake general maintenance work within properties, including but not limited to:-
Working with suited locking systems both mechanical and electronic
Working with windows and door repairs
Basic plastering, repairing holes in walls etc.
Basic domestic plumbing skills
Complete like for like electrical changes including safety isolation and recording of works when complete
Basic joinery skills
Assist with fire alarm activations and false alarms
Note: These skill sets and previous experience/background must be on your CV. There are opportunities within this role to demonstrate your abilities and secure further work.
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance skills ie re-lamping, monthly water checks , general plumbing
Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all times.
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements:
Previous experience is essential.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
Good communication skills.
Reliable and trustworthy.
