Car Sales Manager - Job Description:
As a Car Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing all sales activities, including directing and overseeing the sales team to achieve sales targets and ensure profitability. Your strategic planning and exceptional leadership will drive sales initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Car Sales Manager - Key Responsibilities:
* Appoints staff, assigns tasks and monitors and reviews staff performance.
* Lead and mentor sales team; set objective performance measures.
* Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
* Liaise with other staff to provide information about merchandise, special promotions etc. to customers.
* Ensure that adequate reserves of merchandise are held and that stock-keeping is carried out efficiently.
* Ensure customer complaints and queries regarding sales and service are appropriately handled.
* Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service standards.
* Maintain an outstanding car buying experience for all customers.
* Oversee the maintenance of financial and other records and controls security arrangements for the premises.
* Authorise payment for supplies received and decide on vending prices, discount rates and credit terms.
* Examine the quality of merchandise and ensure that effective use is made of advertising and display facilities.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities and challenges.
* Foster a strong relationship with second-hand car vendors/showrooms.
* Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with client’s needs.
* Liaise with Marketing and Advertising teams to promote sales and ensure a compelling brand presence.
Car Sales Manager - Requirements:
* Proven experience as a sales Manager or similar managerial role within the automotive industry (desirable).
* Strong understanding of how to manage a sales team and meet performance targets (desirable).
* Excellent mentoring, coaching, and people management skills.
* Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Aptitude in delivering attractive presentations.
