Our client is a provider of services for adults with Learning Disabilities. They are committed to delivering high-quality support to ensure enriched, fulfilled, and happy lives for their service users. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing person-centred care and support to adults with Learning Disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide person-centred support and care to individuals with Learning Disabilities.
Administer medication to individuals as prescribed.
Develop and implement individual care plans, ensuring regular reviews and updates.
Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to ethical standards.
Establish effective communication with service users, families, and professionals.
Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care and meal preparation.
Support individuals in accessing community resources and activities.
Monitor and record the progress and well-being of service users.
Respond to emergencies and incidents following established protocols.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care delivery.
Required Qualifications:

Full UK driving licence
Minimum of 1-year care experience
Experience:

Minimum of 1-year experience in a care role
Experience working with adults with Learning Disabilities is highly desirable
Knowledge and Skills:

Proficient in administering medication
Ability to create and implement person-centred care plans
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Reliability and flexibility in working hours
Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:

Higher-level qualifications in Health and Social Care
Additional training in specialised areas such as epilepsy management, autism awareness, or challenging behaviour management
Working Conditions:

Primarily residential setting for adults with Learning Disabilities
May require evening, weekend, and on-call shifts
Physical stamina and ability to assist with personal care tasks
Exposure to challenging behaviours and potentially emotionally demanding situations
