Overview
On behalf of Buckinghamshire Council, Pertemps Recruitment have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join the Income team in Aylesbury. Working alongside the Income Team Leader, you will support financial transaction processing activity through timely and accurate processing, and deliver excellent customer experience by providing efficient and effective service through continuous improvement within the team and by working in collaboration with all the stakeholders.

Temporary – 6 months
Hours: Monday to Friday – 37 hours per week, 9:00am to 5:30pm
Pay Rate - £13.00 per hour
Start Date - ASAP
Work Schedule – Mix of office and home working
Location – Aylesbury

About the role
As a Finance Officer, you will have several responsibilities including, but not limited to the following:

Allocate income received into the Council.
Processing cheques.
GL and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
Investigating unidentified payments.
Liaising with colleagues throughout the organisation and with external customers to resolve queries.
Processing Direct Debit Runs.
Importing income from various systems.

About you
The successful candidate(s) should have:

Previous experience in a finance type role, ideally within income
AAT or related qualification is preferred but not essential
Local Authority experience isn’t essential but would be beneficial
