Complex Care Support Worker, Chalfont, St Giles, HP8. A full-time position is available for a professional, experienced, and dedicated complex care support worker to join a team providing 2:1 care. Salary starting from £33,600.00 Gross per Annum
Location: Chalfont, St Giles, HP8, (Note: The family will be relocating to Marlow Bucks SL7 before the end of the year).
Wage/Salary: Days: £16.50 Weekdays | £18.50 Weekends | Nights: £18.50 Weekdays | £20.50 Weekend Nights (On completion of training / competency on complex care) £33,600.00 + Gross per Annum

Essential: Previous experience supporting a client with complex medical care needs. Non-smoker / vaper

Days & Hours: 36 hours per week. 3 x 12 hour shifts 8.00am | 8.00pm, 8pm – 8am (Days and Waking Nights)

About this client/child: Lucas, 8, is an engaging, happy and sweet little boy who loves sensory stories and activities, listening to singing and relaxing in his hot tub. Lucas lives at home with his lovely family and attends an SEN school part-time (when he is well). Lucas has Cerebral Palsy and associated complex health care needs, including a sight and hearing impairment and experiences seizures. He has a PEG/JEG in-situ for medication, fluid, and nutrition, and requires deep suctioning and VEST system. Due to his high level of needs Lucas, is dependent on others to meet all of his needs and has a dedicated team of complex care support workers providing 2:1 support round the clock. There is an opening for a new full-time member to join.
Overview of role: This position involves working alongside a team member providing hands-on, holistic support to meet Lucas’s health, care, medical, and therapy needs. He has an established routine in place, and his days are filled with a mixture of fun, educational activities, outings, and therapy input, of course, this is dependent on if Lucas is well enough to participate, some days will be focused on providing care to ensure he is comfortable and is recuperating. Throughout the night you will tend to Lucas, supporting him with repositioning, manual handling, personal care, administering medication, support with seizure management and other duties such as maintaining equipment, monitoring stock levels etc. Full training is provided in all areas of Lucas’s care, and the team is led by a nurse. The rota is provided 4 weeks in advance and will consist of a mixture of days and waking nights but this can change if the families or Lucas’s needs change. Part-time and bank contracts are also available.
